God is Near to the Brokenhearted
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
Life can be hard. And sometimes, it feels like life is actually breaking us. But Scripture says God doesn't run from our pain--He runs to us in it and is right beside us as we endure trials as believers. When others leave us in our lowest place, He promises to stay near.
If your heart feels shattered, you don't have to put the pieces back together on your own. God sees every tear, knows every ache, and will not waste your sorrow. His nearness is your comfort, and His love brings hope in the hurt.
Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and seek Him in prayer and open His Word and He will guide you and strengthen you. (Phil. 4:13, Psalm 23)
ABOUT OUR MINISTRY
My name is Brian. I am first and foremost a follower of Jesus Christ, a man who has known both joy and heartbreak, and who has discovered that God is faithful in every season.
I have served in pastoral ministry for more than ten years, walking alongside people in their struggles, teaching the Word of God, and praying with and for those in need. I hold a M.A. in Theological Studies form Liberty University, but my greatest lessons have been learned on my own journey of brokenness and healing.
Like many, I have faced the pain of a marriage that did not survive. I know what it feels like to be rejected, lonely, and questioning your own worth. Yet in those darkest moments, God was near to me and comforted me. His grace sustained me, His Word reminded me of my true identity, and His Spirit began to rebuild what had been torn down.
This ministry was born out of that story--not because I have all the answers, but because I know the One who does and I hope you do too! My heart is to walk with other believers who are hurting, to remind them they are not alone, and to point them to the hope that has carried me: Jesus Christ, the One who binds up the brokenhearted and makes all things new.
PURPOSE
At Hope After Heartbreak, our purpose is simple: to remind hurting believers that they are not alone, not forgotten, and not beyond the reach of God's love.

We exist to:

-
Point the brokenhearted to the healing hope found only in Jesus Christ.
-
Encourage Christians who are struggling with separation, divorce, or marriage difficulties.
-
Provide a safe place for honest prayer, biblical truth, and encouragement.
-
Walk alongside the hurting with compassion, grace, and hope for restoration in Christ.
No matter your past or present pain, we believe God is able to redeem your story for His glory and your good.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3
My Testimony
I know what it feels like to be brokenhearted. I walked through the pain of separation and divorce, and I carried feelings of rejection, failure, and not being "enough." Even while serving in ministry, I often struggled in silence, holding on to hurts I didn't know how to express and deal with. I wondered if I had failed too much to be useful to the Lord and His Kingdom.
But God never once abandoned me. Through His Word and His Spirit, He reminded me of His promise: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18
Slowly, He began to heal wounds I thought would never close (at least not in this lifetime). He showed me that my worth is not found in anyone else, or their approval or rejection of me. My worth is found in Christ Jesus and I now live in the truth of who He says I am. I am loved, and chosen and precious and His son. For so long I tried to find my identity as my ex-wife's husband and I made her an idol. I repented of that sin and God has been gracious to me. And He is gracious to you too!
Out of a terrible season of pain, God gave me a new calling. he placed on my heart a desire to minister to other believers who are hurting--those who are walking through difficult times in marriage, separation, or divorce. I realized my story wasn't wasted; God was shaping me to walk alongside others and to point them to His healing love found in His Son, Jesus Christ.
There is hope for you. No matter how desperate you feel, or how broken you are, Jesus is near. God sees you. He loves you, and He has not abandoned you. He is able to take the deepest pain and use it for His glory and your good. That doesn't mean you and I will always understand how He does this and when, but He does it. My prayer is that this ministry will be a place where you find encouragement, prayer, and the reminder that God is not finished with you.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17.
